About.
Andhra University is a NAAC A++ accredited, UGC-entitled state university based in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. Established in 1926, it is among India’s oldest universities, and its School of Distance Education — set up in 1972 — is one of the country’s longest-running providers of distance and online learning. Its online degrees are UGC-entitled and carry the same academic standing as its on-campus qualifications. Through its online School of Distance Education it offers UGC-entitled programmes — a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Commerce at undergraduate level, and at postgraduate level a Master of Arts in English, Economics, Political Science, Human Resource Management or Journalism and Mass Communication, a Master of Commerce, and a Master of Business Administration with specialisations spanning Business Analytics, FinTech, Digital Marketing, Health Care Services Management and Tourism & Event Management. Learning is delivered online through recorded lectures and weekend live sessions, with downloadable course materials and dedicated learner support.
